Today marks my first decade working for TRAC Engineering, the company that gave me my start in life out of University. I spent today (and the past week) on the blockade with our geotech team in an effort to finish drilling works at Camborne Station Rock Cutting in deepest Cornwall. I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to spend this milestone, than to get some hands on time with the same tasks that TRAC started me on.

In the 10 years I’ve been at TRAC I’ve worn many… many… hats, embraced the company’s highs and lows, and got involved in an array of unique projects spanning a variety of disciplines that I think I would have been unlikely to experience so quickly in a larger firm. My on-site contribution dwindles in comparison to those around me who do this every day on my behalf. Massive credit to the team for pulling off what they have this week, despite the several ravenous storms that have swept through the region during our works. Tomorrow they finish without me as the desk job beckons me back to normality. I’m definitely not a frequent poster on LinkedIn, but I thought this was a noteworthy reason. On to the next decade!
